IN MEMORIAM

Ron Rodgers

Guitar

Ron was the founder of The Barco Beat and the reason that the rest of us got together. We lost Ron to cancer in May of 2024 but we will always remember him fondly and his legacy lives on through us. Ron played in almost every major club in the DMV, and Richmond, VA. He played the famed CBGB club in New York City, and performed session work for Ike and Tina Turner and Wilson Pickett. He lived and loved his guitar influences, Link Wray, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Mike Bloomfield, Keith Richards and Robbie Roberson, all of whom came through in Ron’s guitar work.
